Mr. R. K. Sinha, fondly known as RK in the security fraternity is a man of many hues. A first generation entrepreneur, Mr. Sinha started, Security & Intelligence Services (India) Limited with a team of two persons from a small rented office in the eastern parts of India in 1974. Today, SIS Group is recognised as one of the leaders in manpower security business in Asia Pacific with over 36,000 permanent employees, 3000 corporate customers and a turnover in excess of USD 350 Mn.

A graduate of Political Science and Law, Mr. Sinha had started his career as a journalist specializing in crime and political reporting. He received accolades for his work as a war correspondent during the Indo-Pak war 1971. During the same period, Sinha also authored "Janandolan" which is widely recognised as the first authentic research book on the student movement in India led by revolutionary leader Jai Prakash Narayan between 1970 - 1975.

It was Mr. R. K. Sinha's inclination to help the retired ex servicemen post the Indo - Pak war that led him to create a security services company. With time SIS Group grew with his passion, drive and vision for the business. Today, Mr.Sinha is widely recognised as a pioneer and Industry leader. He represents the private security industry before government bodies for legislation and regulatory matters regularly. Mr.Sinha also served as an Advisor to Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India (1999 - 2004).

RK is also a renowned expert and well known speaker on subjects like security, loss prevention, training and disaster management. He is a regular faculty at universities across India and US apart from delivering papers at various industry forums across the world. In recognition of his contribution to the industry, the Security Association of Singapore (SAS) honoured him with a Loss Prevention Promoter Award (2006).

Mr. Sinha has also been a champion of industry issues and has held various positions including Regional Vice President, World Safety Organisation (WSO) for South Asia (1989-1991), President, National Institute of Security Professionals of India (1990-1995), Area Governor of Association of Security Organisation of India (1988- 2001). Chapter Chairman, ASIS for India Sub Continent chapter (1990-2000), Executive Chairman, International Institute of Security and Safety management and Founder Chairman of the Central Association for the Private Security Industry of India (CAPSI) and Security Skills Council of India (SSCI).

R.K. Sinha is also involved with charitable organisations. He is the President of Vatsalyagram which aims at creating a home away from home for the elderly, destitute women and orphans. Sinha setup the India Public School in Dehradun in 1999 to promote the cause of education in India.

On the personal front, Sinha is deeply spiritual man committed to his family. He believes in delegation and empowerment as core values for management. Visionary leader that he is, Sinha is always scouting for his next big opportunity. His ambition is to make SIS Group a world leader in security business that is known for its service quality and commitment to customers and employees. RK's next big goal is to list SIS Group on the stock exchanges in near future.
